About Tisane Addict
Tisane Addict was born out of a simple conviction: between the crumpled tea bags from the supermarket and intimidating premium blends, there was a need for a shop that carefully selects truly excellent teas, herbal teas, and infusions—and takes the time to explain why they’re so good.
Every item in the store has been tasted, compared, and selected for a specific reason. This is the process we’re sharing with you on this page.
Our History
It all started with an observation from an enthusiast: too many herbal teas are disappointing by the second cup, and too many teas promise a journey but deliver water that’s barely fragrant. So we did what any enthusiast would do—taste, a lot; eliminate, often—and brought together in a single shop the blends that, in our eyes and on our palates, truly deserve a place in your cup. From time-tested tea houses, such as Sultan—a Moroccan tea institution since 1936—to more exclusive blends, each section of the catalog showcases a curated selection, not just a list of products.
What We Taste Before You Do
- Cut quality: whole or generously cut ingredients that can be steeped multiple times
- Balance in the cup: neither bland nor bitter, with no bitterness that overpowers the delicate notes
- Consistency over time: a blend must remain true to itself, bag after bag
- The accuracy of the instructions: recommended time and temperature, verified through tasting

First steep, second steep, different steeping times and temperatures: a blend that doesn’t hold up to multiple steeps or quickly becomes bitter won’t make it onto our shelves.

Detailed ingredients, actual brewing times, and tasting notes: Each product page is written based on our own cups of tea—not a copy-and-paste job from a supplier.

Orders are carefully prepared and shipped from France under conditions that preserve the freshness and flavor of the products all the way to your doorstep.

Our rule can be summed up in one sentence: we don’t sell anything that we wouldn’t want to brew a second time. Everything else—the detailed product descriptions, the advice, the care we put into each order—follows naturally from that.
